中年男子本（Noah Huntley 飾）的女兒莎拉（Skye Bennett 飾）身染重病，救治不愈。悲傷的本對(duì)醫(yī)院失去信心，他決定帶著莎拉離開這里。父女二人走進(jìn)電梯，同乘的還有護(hù)士艾米莉（Dominique McElligott 飾）、醫(yī)院保安瑞克（Leon Herbert 飾）、懷中抱著纏有繃帶的玩具熊的男子約翰（William Hope 飾）以及一個(gè)精神失常的老人托比阿斯（Ronald Pickup 飾）。
電梯運(yùn)行不久，突然發(fā)生故障。經(jīng)過一段令人心焦的等待后，電梯最終停在了第六層。然而這層似乎有些奇怪，四周空空蕩蕩，悄無聲息。正當(dāng)眾人疑惑不解的時(shí)候，危險(xiǎn)悄悄向他們逼近……
